Assignment 3

I am an avid blog reader. I have about 20 that I check daily. Most of the blogs I look at have to do with design, art, fashion, and photography. These are all interests I have outside of school and I enjoy how they are updated frequently, bring together a diverse mix of the best of what is on the web, and can become like collaboratories. I have never really been interested in finding blogs that relate to teaching. However, there are some that I have come across that have been useful. Here is a list of the few that I frequent or that I have referred my students to:

http://www.sunshineinajar.com/: This site is run by an English teacher who is full of great ideas, uses a blog for all of her classes, and discusses many types of issues dealing with education.

http://yayeveryday.com/ : This site is full of great design ideas. It is a site my journalism students check frequently for inspiration when creating graphics and layouts.

I will continue to update this as I explore more.

Find and briefly report on one or more blogs in subject areas of personal or educational interest to you…and also, find at least 1 or 2 blogs which might be appropriate for—and of interest to—your students. Tell why these blogs interest you and may interest your students.

Here are three sources of education blogs you may want to browse a bit:

<http://educational.blogs.com/>
<http://oedb.org/library/features/top-100-education-blogs>
(this is the largest resource list of the three above).
